Let's get to know you
Career and Professional Advisors have two meetings in the first year with MS1 students. The main focus of the first meeting is to get to know one another. MS1s will be asked about their personal backgrounds, goals, and interests. Students are given an overview of what is ahead, as well as the wide variety of resources that are available at The College. The Medical Specialty Preference Inventory (MSPI) will be taken by the student and reviewed in their 1:1 meeting with the Advisor.
During the second meeting, we will discuss the student's progress, as well as the inherent qualities they possess to help guide career choices and student wellness. Options and plans are discussed for summer study in the Personalized Active Learning (PAL) block.
